I decided to try my hand at drawing closed manga/anime eyes. I drew two versions of each eye: one male, one female. The first male and female eye is happy; the second male and female eye is neutral; the third male and female eye is mad; the last male and female eye are sad. With the male sad eye, the spaces that I left white on the eye show that tears are almost welling up; with the female sad eye, I showed the tears welling up at the outer corner of the eye. Either way can be used for male or female.
